Our approach to keeping workers safe on every assignment.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
Starff is committed to the health, safety and welfare of every worker we place. We work with clients to ensure assignments are suitable and that safe systems of work are in place.
Before placement we confirm the role, environment and any hazards with the hirer, and match workers who hold the right certifications and experience for the conditions.
Where a role requires personal protective equipment, responsibility for provision is agreed with the hirer in advance. Workers must use provided PPE and follow site rules.
During an assignment the hirer is responsible for site induction, day-to-day supervision, and providing a safe working environment, as the party that directs the work.
Accidents, injuries and near misses must be reported to the site supervisor and to Starff immediately. We support RIDDOR reporting where it applies and review incidents to prevent recurrence.
We brief workers on general site-safety expectations and check role-specific tickets and cards. Additional training requirements are agreed with the hirer for specialist roles.
